The 2008 Open Web Awards have come to a close. And with the end comes the results of the Peoples’ Choice segment, the main part of the awards. (The partnered bloggers, including myself, have already given their picks.)
I have to say that the “ordinary people” have come up with some very different results than the bloggers.
Here are some highlights from the winners:
- Netlog (Mainstream & Large Scale Social Networks)
- Google (Start Pages)
- Noisetrade (Music)
- Evernote (Mobile Applications)
- Encyclopedia Dramatica (Wiki)
- Playfish (Online Games)
- ShareThis (Blog Plugins)
- Help a Reporter Out (Social News)
